what breed are they.. check their pelvic bone also.. for $2. that good price even if they dont lay.. Good luck..So, hoping that I am not making a mistake, I found an ad for a local farmer selling 17 laying hens. They are 2 years old, they are offered as stew birds because they are not laying. I would think it is due to the weather, lighting, etc. So, I am going to go and get them. They are only $2 ea. I am hoping that this is the right thing to do, I will check them for bugs while I am there to be sure and keep them separated for a bit. I figure that if they don't lay come spring, then we eat them, if they do lay, we eat the eggs. Win-Wi
lol sorry,I'd like to say I own that goat, but it belongs to RIR!
My apologies, I'll have to try harder. Good new is always welcome. I hope she continues to improve.I was up at 430 and had my first cup of coffee 10 minutes later. Read all the posts on the Michigan thread, worked the LA Times crossword, and then got Granny up to take her for a blood test. This was the last of the weekly tests and the doctors have decided that she is doing so well that she can now go to monthly tests.
Beautiful, what are they?
