An Animal Control office I knew swore by hot dogs as the key to making friends with stray dogs.

No snow or rain or other precipitation here at all the last few days, but it is very windy today and supposed to get 6" or snow tonight and tomorrow. We shall see.

We did put dog food out for him while he was around, but I'll remember to bring some hot dogs if he comes back! I just feel so bad cuz of all this thunder, lightening, rain and wind. My dog is terrified of storms, so just thinking what he's going through being in the storm breaks my heart.

While I know we needed rain, the amount we have received and are predicted to receive is beyond ridiculous. Rivers at or approaching flood stage. How can I fish that?

I agree, our road is flooded at both ends. and my chicken run is a muddy mess. At least they can free range and get out of the mud. hope the hawks stay away

So this might just be wishful thinking, but I have a hen who was acting like she wanted an egg to sit on but there was nothing under her. I happened to be in the coop when one of my other girls laid one, so I moved it over next to our hen Fancy (the one I hope is wanting to sit) I just set it next to her... She immediately rolled it under her self and settled in...anyone with experience have any thoughts? I haven't had a broody hen since I was a kid with chickens...like I say though, she might not even be...I think they need a sign they turn on to tell us!

I have a Few Fertile Faverolle eggs you could try out under her if ya want???

opa maybe you can use a net in the parking lot to catch fish.. with the overflow

poor doggy, try a hotdog in a big live trap.. outside with a tarp over it so it looks like a den..maybe that will help..

lol When I read this I had a good laugh, My parents had a little book titled " How to train your dog". You open it and a fake weiner popped up. Got us giggling every time hehe!
