Maah, sorry to hear about your Grandma's passing. Unfortunately, I'm too far east from you so I can't help with the chickens.

Yes it's ok with me. Thanks for asking.Hey, Grandrapidsgirl... I am planning on going the confidential, and I know this guy there who has golden sbrights... Unless they are already spoken for,RaZ? I could bring them back... I am in Holland.
RaZ... I love the siding. I think it is creative, don't see how anyone could be offended... But then again we are talking about NN.....
Silly, if its Ok with you, I am going to try you shirt design on the cake.
Nothing wrong with that, looks good. Had you have went with a rainbow assortment maybe, just maybe, the keystone coppers would have had issues. I have a friend in Maine that bought a circa 1700 farm house. We had to jack two corners up about a foot to get it level. Talk about not being plumb for the new siding. It needed a new sill anyway. That would have been an option for you?So I'll admit that the garage paint is in sad shape. The ordinance officer wanted me to power-wash and paint over. Nevermind that the paint is likely lead-based and requires special permits for remediation and disposal and is an environmental contaminant.
The blue chalk line is based off the only plumb corner of the garage. It is completely level.
Obviously, going level is not an option for a structure that has settled over 50 plus years. Can you see how the level siding falls away from the existing cedar siding?
After some serious measuring, ciphering and a little cheating. I came up with a template to set how the courses (rows) should be nailed up. From this one-point perspective, the lines seem tapered. But I managed to keep the runs mostly level with the window. My laser level says that I'm only off by 5/8 inch over the 24 foot length. I'm happy with that.
I stopped at this point because I need a ladder or scaffold to go higher. That is for tomorrow.
The lines and colours seem to bend and warp. If you stare at the wall for a few minutes, it seems to move. I'm sure that it will mess with an OCD mind.![]()
Pretty sure I won't be at CS this Saturday. For those that remember my "Thursday is dinner at Grandma's" nights, will know how hard this is for me. She passed away yesterday.
I was hoping someone would be able to help me out though. I have some business that I need to get done on Saturday. I have a silkie rooster that needs to go to Trefoil, and some silkie chicks to granny. And I was hoping to bring home a BCM pullet from Wynette. Plus I have other silkie chicks that need to go to their new forever home, some people sounded interested, but those could definitely wait. I'd like to get at least the "spoken for" swaps squared away. I live in Wayland (Allegan Co.). If you're going to CS and able to help me out please message me.
