PVC pipe. Run the extension cord through PVC. If your drive is gravel, you can trench it in, or run 2x4's on either side of it tire weight is taken on the 2x4, not the pvc. Of course, you could run it through the metal pipe too, bit more expensive, but a car isn't going to break that. I don't have electric either. I run my cord along the top of the fence, then over to the coop leaving just enough head room.We tried that last year, but the only place we can run an extension cord from is the garage, and doing that would put the extension cord right over our gravel driveway. So if anyone were to drive over the cord, it would shred it. We thought of burying it, but we rent our property and I don't think our landlord would be very happy if we dug up the driveway.
