Taprock- In regards to the sunflower seeds, my neighbor has a bunch in back that are dead and just hanging over. Can I feed them to the chickens and do i just cut the top of the plant and give it to them or do you have to dry em out 1st? Hate to watch good food go to spoil if there's a way to use it.

You are supposed to cut the heads off and hang in a place that they can dry.... however, mine were not drying at all. So I threw them out to the chickens. You do not need to dry or take them off the head, they will take care of it on their own.

Thanks all for the cute & funny pix & cartoons today.

I seriously needed some laughs...thank goodness I have now started my 4 day Veteran's Day holiday weekend :weee

AND, thank you to ALL the veterans out there that served & those that are currently serving :love

I have to disagree with you on this one.  I don't think it's a side of the state issue, but the community you're in.  I'm a transplant from Metro Detroit to GR, and see medical technology expanding the city's economy.

All programs take time to grow.  I hope that the robotics program draws more interest in the future and you evolve into a team to be reckoned with.

Ya, I would agree its the community. I live in kent county and the robotics programs and Lego leagues are huge at our school district. Hope it catches on there for you.

x2 on the veterans shout out. But I'm jealous of your 4 day weekend

We are allowed to work an alternative work schedule, either 4 10's or, like me, my 80 hours in 9 days & I take every other Friday off (of course, half the time I end up working some of the day at home au gratis). Love it. Especially when a holiday lands on a Monday!! Plus, mentally, knowing you have a 3 day weekend every other week can get ya thru just about anything!

And, here I am, day off...& can't sleep....argh.

The robotics program is mostly geared ....

Read just that bit, cracked up laughing, then had to finish reading the post.

Robotics... the bane of my existence some days. I work in automotive (Shipshewana, IN), making Ford and GM parts. (Specifically, trunk hinges for Ford Fusion is my line, plus fender panels for GM.) The robots have been grass moles the last couple of weeks.

Still laughing at the robotics being geared...

I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress.
