Daron! Do you see what RaZ did?? RaZ you are naughty. Daron and I are going to have some fun with water balloons, I see!!

Bonnie and Polish 3 are in a dog crate in the garage.

Some chicken got Polish 3 bad on the tail, there was a trail of blood leading from pecking spot, to her hiding spot. Everyone was pecking at her in the coop so we had to take her out. For company, we got her sweet little Bonnie. All Bonnie wants to do is snuggle with someone who won't peck her. So, all is good :)

Is there anything I can cover her tail with? Polish 3 is pecking herself and keeps making it bleed more.

Quote: HE IS SUPER GORGEOUS!!! I SOOOO wish I could but I don't have a quarantine area this time of year. But.... if you have any hatching eggs soon I'd love to buy some from you! I know a lot of people don't like this type of chicken and when I first saw them I thought to myself... WHAT THE BLEEP IS THAT UGLY THING?!?!?! But now I adore all oddball looking chickens

I Thank You Very Much for the offer though BFM!!!

I mean who can NOT love these weird looking fluff balls?

I try and look for the good in things but YUK to this rain. Water not freezing is a plus. The back roads are terrible, be careful if you have to drive. Better yet stay home and watch football today and tomorrow. Or start planning the gardens, or new structures, or do that mending that has grown into a small mountain

I've heard tale of people putting food colouring on the oviduct/vent of a hen to see what egg came from what hen.
I don't know if that really works or is just an old wives tale.

Anyone? :idunno

That's what I do with the ducks, it works great and you will have colorful fresh eggs for a while. With ducks the color usually disappears after 2-3days, but since ducks bathe more than chickens, I have no idea how long it would last on a chicken.

Raz, you have changed, you look amazingly like Daran

some one used lipstick on the vent to mark eggs also you could put a different collar on each hen

@snowflake last week I was just stretched so thin, I was feeling really rotten until I fixed up a batch of Kahlua Brownies -AND- a batch of fudge. Then all was better! I totally understand you.

I imagine my pen is a wreck too. It will be ok. :)
