Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Sorry about Strutter Nova..always disappointing when you lose one you like. Unfortunately, I'm a category 3............ but I'll be dam Ned, if I'll ask permission to farm! Calling it done for now.. still have a spot to tweak and to seal it. (just a temp frame). Hope someone bids on it so it was worth my time! LOL!
Who wouldn't buy it?? :p

I'd bid on that artwork, Silly.
I'm not sure that I can even legally have a picture of livestock.

Sorry then Raz, i must have missed something this last year. My last job left me with very little reading time, and i'm afraid i had to skip over much. :( That is total BS that it is "criminal" .

Well, if that is true that gaamps are only rough interpretations than we are without a paddle regardless; the locals will do what they will. :( My locals are bought with money and friendships, neither of which i have if push comes to shove. :(

No need to be sorry, it it what it is. Mine is only one story of many. I'm sure that many more will follow.
Especially if state law is negated in favour of local rule. That would put us all at the mercy of local politicians who may or may not be influenced by special interests.
As bad as that influence is at the state level, just picture it at the local level. I just want the right to grow my own food, sell some food and survive.

Idk guys, you are right that the wording says that it is voluntary to follow the gaamps; but it also says the right to act is a law;

http://www.michigan.gov/documents/mdard/RIGHT_TO_FARM_ACT_Final_3_422144_7.pdf?20140106130510

and if i voluntarily live in an oh, say a category 4 and don't want to voluntarily follow the site selection gaamp that says i may not have chickens....... see? Or they aren't doing anything more than letting us know that we are on our own and not protected? Either way without protection the local law will have a field day.

Whatever it is i still don't like it! I'm still angry and now i'm confused and angry. And sad because nova's favorite roo died. But liking this yak pic.

Whoever said chocolate fixes anything.........LOL. I've been on a canned chocolate pudding streak for weeks..... hot chocolate..... been craving it like mad. Going to give my brain and eyeballs a rest and go get some from the store now.

I am new on this thread what is chickenstock sounds like soup
Chickenstock is our annual meet and greet picnic. A chance to meet people in person and share food, games, birds and socializing.
It is basically a cross between a family reunion and a picnic, with chickens being the common connection.

It is always a lot of fun.
