Anyone else seeing a salt shortage? Menards was out of all ice melting products and even water softener salt. Same thing at Kroger.

I have 2 trying to go broody here. If I could do that pic of me pulling my hair out, I would! Pulled 23 eggs from those 2 today. The eggs are now cooking on High in the Crock Pot for my dogs!

There is definitely a shortage of water heater and tank deicers for small uses... can get the big 16 gallon heated buckets but no 2.5 or similar. Our mill says everyone is on back order.

One of my cuckoo Marans just did the squat for me and let me grope her for a couple of minutes while she did the low cluck that sounds like purring. The BO girls are getting darker pink combs and curiously watched the grope-fest. And the nest box has been rearranged to form a small hollow. I might have chocolate eggs before Valentine Day.

lol now that is funny. I was wondering about these canaries so went and did the due diligence. Ihave a neighbor who wishes i didnt have as many canaries. So i put up a big fence and let a couple extra roosters grow out to keep the girls warm and the light comes on at about 4 am. Ha ha ha. The kicker. Their brother in law has a huge farm less than a block from us. Go figure
