Hope those that are sick are feeling better, hope TSC has Welsummers so I can see if I can sex them. no room for more birds but they sound awesome.

trying to figure out how I can separate my breeds for breeding. Not sure how to fix enough waterers and food dishes that I can keep thawed with this cold weather.

Since I am snowed in due to MORE drifting in my driveway (gonna wait til this next few inches tonight finishes before calling my plow guy), I have opted for antibiotics for my sinus infection. I always keep a script of it around since this is one illness I can always self diagnose .. And, the antibiotics always knock it out of my system. If I am running a fever with the pain & pressure, know it's an infection (& yeah, I get the horrid toothaches with it). A plain old "stuffed up, pain, pressure, general malaise", tea, honey, etc.
Luckily I already had a regular doc appt for this Monday morn, too.
I have been a lazy, laying around bum today .. But, figure that's what the body needs to heal.

Oh, & OMG was the pain BAD during the descent into Metro last night...YIKES!!

I felt well enough to venture out today and bought a vial of 30 PPM colloidal silver. Also got ear candles and I'm starting to feel a little better.

A big part of feeling better is an attitude shift. I heard bird song which sounded an awful lot like the egg song. That picked up my spirits.

Greetings everyone! We are on the lookout for Orpington chicks and have yet to find any that will be for sale this season from anywhere close other than Townline. We are in Saline, which is about 2.5 hrs from Zeeland. We've talked about driving out there to pick them up...only looking to get 6 females or 6 started pullets, so we are under the typical order amount.

Any suggestions on breeders in the state? There is a Orp breeder in Brighton that I've contacted, but I've yet to hear back from them.

That's a good three hour drive. Townline has them here in Zeeland. I am getting some in two weeks along with a few other pullets (about 15 chicks)
