Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

My FG doe has taken kits out of the nest box to die and left the others she sees fit. Trixie ( the doe I got from you) keeps all of hers, no matter how many, in the box. My plan is to find a FG that is either steel to dark grey. I would like a doe to maximize output. One buck is enough, and he's a sweetheart, so unless he kicks the bucket, he's boss.

yeah I'm not sure whats up with these two doe (sisters), and a third doe, They refused to use the box, all kits born on the wire, died of cold. I used different bucks (just have a grey mutt and the FG) each time, and cleaned the boxes between use. I think I will seal the box bottoms, and re galvanize the metal, maybe there is a lingering smell in them. IDK. They've had successful litters before.

If anyone would like Tolbunt Polish hatching eggs, I have extra. I'll give you a deal!

All this rabbit talk makes me want one again. I loved having them.

That can be arranged

My chick days here in coopersville was a crushing disappointment. One teeny coop and the huge choice of amber sex liks, reds, or brahmas. No banties, ducks, or turkeys either
:(

There's a pretty decent chance I will be coming back from TSC with some chicks this week - I'm a sucker for them... I don't need all 6, so if anyone near Ann Arbor wants a few, let me know and we can split them. :)

Also ---- Anyone ever bake with goose eggs? I was gifted some and I'm not really sure how to use them. I was thinking with the super dense yolk, the might be good in brownies?

umm yeah so just happened to go into the FFH in Reed City today and they had some Welsummers some how five pullets and a lil roo jumped into a box and i was about to make my escape when I noticed that the meaties were only 99 cents and there was only twelve left in the bin, and so ten minutes later we were all tucked in the car headed home, and I am thinking okay i am going to have to shift some brooders around...okay I think I should not go in for the next two months, just get the feed at the mill....
