Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

The way I'm reading that then is if we refrigerate or fresh eggs in a container, they can be good for at least 6 mos. if not longer. That would make it easier in the fall to go ahead and stock alot up for the winter.

I never understood any of the fuss about DST or why people get so upset over it. The last I checked there are still only 24 hours in a day.

I did a quick check on the amount of daylight for today and tomorrow...today is 11 hours and 34 minutes of daytime; tomorrow will be 11 hours and 37 minutes.
You can check the amount of daylight for your zip code by going to this site http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php

But just to be safe, I am taking the clock out of the coop so the laying times don't get mixed up.

I wasn't ruffled by DST until we reproduced. Sleep schedules get off for a week here, and there's a lot of grump.

Ditto on the triplets at least, I hope that it is only triplets. Its sure the kidding season!

I have a Lady coming tomorrow to look at the Icelandics, I have set aside a rooster and some pullets for my son to look after while I am gone so things are looking good.

This too shall pass, and life goes on.

I still have the pair of Black Spanish turkeys and one Bourbon Red Tom, all well grown spring 2013 hatch. Both Toms are in the mating mode.
