Was anyone up really early this morning and see the utterly amazing light show that the storms put on?

I left for work at 4am (driving east on I-96).....I was simply mesmerized by the lightning...can't say I have really seen anything quite like it in a LONG time...
It was beautiful...
AND, I got to enjoy it cuz there was virtually NO traffic that early AND I timed my departure in between the major downpours of rain!

Did you notice how strange the thunder sounded? It woke me up and as I was listening to it roll in, it had an amazing rythym to it I have never heard before. It was quite a show.

Anyway, this is my write-up.
What can a person do when a local official and the judge are in cohoots together? When the ordinance officer is continually harassing you and the judge says that it is OK to do so.
Today's court proceeding pretty much said that the harassment can and and will continue. To paraphrase the judge, the ordinance officer can write me a ticket a day, 365 days a year. He can enter my property anytime he feels like it and do what he likes. Never mind due process. Never mind probable cause. Never mind Constitutional Rights.
Again that is a paraphrase and I'll need the transcripts for an accurate account. But because this is a "sealed" case, the transcripts are only permitted IF the judge allows them to be transcribes.
I did get a copy of last month's hearing transcript where on page 8, the court (judge) says, "ya' have a marijuana-grow operation out there" (sic). The entire transcript is a mere 12 pages including 3 title pages. On the last page, the court reporter notes that the transcript is "not certified". I'm not really sure what that means but I suspect that the court reported may not have been authorized to provide me with the requested file since this is a secret court action.
Back to today's events...there were no attorneys present in spite of one being listed on the Notice to Appear letter as being the defendant's attorney. There was no Probation Officer present in spite of one named on the complaint. (A person that I have never met).
I had a witness with me today and we both agreed that the judge and the OO appeared nervous that I had support in the courtroom. No sworn testimony was given but a general discussion took place, sort of. It is hard to get statements out when the judge kept interrupting the conversation and mentioning things that had nothing to do with the case. It was like having a conversation with an Alzheimer patient. But at the end of the chaotic discussion the judge set a SENTENCING Date for July 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM for the original charge of a building violation - "peeling paint" on the garage.
Is anyone confused? I hope the transcripts will shed some light on what is really taking place in this "sealed" court action. Provided of course that I am allowed access to the report and also 2-3 other court hearings held without my presence or knowledge.

Raz, I don't know what it going on witht that court, but I know you are not alone. This crap is happening all over the U.S. Random nuisance charges (some are to get the house foreclosed) with people they think will not fight back. Sure sounds like the good ole boys of Garden City have it in for you for whatever reason. (You drug dealin hippee, you.

Get all the info you can from every resource you can, you may just find a connection somewhere.

i figured out why they have sealed all your records....... because they can legally destroy them this way. The only way you are going to get copies is to get a court order.

Maybe you could use the latter to your advantage raz, if they've been sealed.. its a done deal.. never happened... swept under the rug.

Actually I did notice the thunder while I was on the back porch having a cup of coffee at 2:45am watching lightning before getting ready for work! It, too was pretty awesome.

Then, got to work at about 5. Am on the 4th floor, looked out the windows to the east & got to see the sun just as it was rising and it was gorgeous. Didn't last long as the storm clouds took over, but beautiful for the few minutes I got to watch.

Really a very cool morning....

Left work early and made it home just in time for round 2 & a severe storm warning. Was pretty windy, torrential downpour, but luckily no hail.

I actually tried to post this before the storm but got a blank, white page that said "Disallowed Key Characters" when I tried to post. After that, couldn't even get onto BYC.

Just downloaded Chrome on iPad & will see if it works vs. Safari....(tried clearing cookies & cache, but that didn't help).

i figured out why they have sealed all your records....... because they can legally destroy them this way. The only way you are going to get copies is to get a court order.

What a sight that had to have been. I have trees on all sides of me no clear line of sight for sunrises, but I do get some spectacular sunsets coming through the branches in front of the fields out back.

Yeah, the latest one split us down the middle, I could see both storms in the distance. Just a little heavy rain and windy. All gone now. Which reminds me, I need to check w/peeps in both paths to make sure they're ok. It looks like I'm not that far from you. Same area.

Quite the storm here right now. Horizontal winds took out a bunch of branches from the tree out front. Then the downpour hit before I could get all of the windows closed. A little water never hurt, eh?

It has eased up a bit but there are steady rolls of thunder. The wind has died down to that eerie calm but the birds are returning to the feeders so I guess the worst has passed.
