Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I had a fabulous first Chicken Stock! Came home with 2 beautiful Silkie Roos, a very cute Fayoumi Roo, and a precious polish hatchling.Thank you @Folly's Place @ChickWhispers and @lovemychicklets .

Lovemychicklets did you have any polish hatchlings left? If so where are u located? Were interested in a couple more.

Hello all, I'm a newbie checking in, from Midland Michigan. I'm also new to chicken keeping. I have 12, so far. 4 Rhode Island Reds, 3 Easter Eggers, 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 2 Black Star (Black Sex-Links). They're all about 16 weeks old now and growing like weeds. I've lurked here for many months and have learned so much. Just thought I would take the plunge and start posting. :)

Thanks, Tracy

Welcome!...I'm fairly new here too, got my first flock of 6 about 6 weeks ago and I must say am hooked! You will love this site, so much info and fun too

I had a wonderful time today, and hope that the chicks that went home with all of you turn out well. It was kind of quiet at my coop tonight with all those cockrels missing! Please let me know how they are doing. The food was really good, and thanks for the grape salad recipe! Mary

Long Day yesterday. Feeling a little sad leaving my friends for another year. Very big shout out to "you-know" for reserving the site, organizing, flipping food, getting the MSU speaker, organizing the raffle, calling it, bringing the "stuff" and food! Not the biggest turn out and missing some of the peeps I thought would be there. It was great staying after and talking a little more. Shot a few pix but not nearly as many as years past. So, friends that were there, and the ones that did not make it, and the ones that are not posting much anymore - Let's make 2015 CS the place to be! You won't be sorry! Best people I know. John
