The yield of my garden has been exceptional. I add the chicken manure and wood shavings along with some AG lime during the winter and then till it in come spring. So far it has been working extremely well.

Last winter? I couldn't even see my garden until spring. I wouldn't even have known where to dump it.

Your garden is amazing.

Hi there! Newbie in the house.
We have our first flock of hens and I absolutely adore them. When I get up in the morning to let the dogs out they immediately run for the the gate demanding their scratch and treats. This forum has been a wonderful resource and I am really glad to be a part of it. I know too well about getting flamed from some horse forums I have been on in the past so rest assured that I won't be the one passing judgment on folks. So, here's what I have. 2 White Leghorns that started laying 2 weeks ago and we are getting double yoke eggs at least 3 times a week, 2 Buff Orphs that are total cuddle bugs and listen better than my dogs,, 2 Bhrama's that are my complainers....they always have something to say, and 2 Easter Eggers. One is the ruler of the roost and the other one is my "chicken little". She thinks the world is ending every time I go into the coop or run. So this is me! Looking forward to further posts and correspondence from all of you!
