Quote: I'd be careful of picking up other folks leaves......did you know that wilted/fallen cherry leaves are toxic to goats?
Hopefully you pick up from in front of houses with huge oak trees and any cherry leaves are readily identifiable because they are small.
GREAT Costume....the pelt in the basket makes it!!Halloween is always a fun time. Because I work with the school classes weekly I get to go visit them at school and hand out candy, and get paid to do it!
The day started with 3" of "powdered sugar" and high winds. The chickens didn't want to show their faces. The ducks and guineas were the brave critters. Ten miles away at work there was no white on the ground at all. It was a bit cold taking kids last night but always lots of fun.
My DH has been building my Seramas a special, heated coop for winter. It is done but the first heater came broken. The second works great but now DH bought himself a Mill and parked it in the garage where he can't move the coop out. So the Seramas are in a dog crate in the basement. I'm hoping all the crowing today while he's trying to sleep in will motivate him to move their coop to where it belongs.

Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! What a way to brighten up an otherwise cold, damp, dreary morning.. And, my favorite color purpleI was very surprised when we discovered that some of our irises were blooming again. Thursday night, given the weather forecast, Hope decided that she would cut them rather than let them freeze. We didn't know if the blossoms would open but this morning I awoke to an example of nature in its finest.![]()
Good Call Hope! Hard freeze here last night, 24F.I was very surprised when we discovered that some of our irises were blooming again. Thursday night, given the weather forecast, Hope decided that she would cut them rather than let them freeze. We didn't know if the blossoms would open but this morning I awoke to an example of nature in its finest.
