I'm home from the hospital. Surgery went well and I have a layer of mesh buried in there somewhere. Several tumors causing pressure were also removed so that should help even more. The only downside is a very sore throat from whatever tube they shoved down my throat.

The nurses and doctors were all terrific, very friendly and helpful. The nurse is even setting me up with a nutritionist to help me get this diabetes handled. All and all great people there.

I am very grateful to the people who stepped in at the last minute to take me there and back. Nora took me on her way to work and Mike came to pick me up afterwards.

So I am supposed to rest and recover for a couple of days and then slowly get back into the swing of things. I need to make 2015 a productive year.

Thank you, I am doing very fine.

Now that some of these defects have been fixed I plan on having a great new year. I want to get busy building some bird houses, coops and bee hives. Merry Christmas everyone! Tomorrow is my big dinner. We have done 2 smaller ones since last week, but this one is on me.

As for the snow, I sure hope we at least get a dusting by morning or dh will feel like he's still down south.

Was really snowing hard last night when we got home from my mom's, thought we'd at least have an inch or so for XMAS morn, but alas, no. That being the case, I no longer have the need to see snow til next XMAS morn

Timer is going off, time to drop oven temp for the quiche (so glad one of my BCMSs decided to start laying again, I swear, using Marans' eggs truly makes a diff for a great quiche Lorraine..)
