Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hope things go well Raz. Don't get me started on insurance! It took 5 months and phone call after phone call to get a reevaluation for my son's speech when he is already a patient and the insurance doesn't cover it anyway.

The snow has returned, with rain and sleet. It will be an interesting drive to work today. DH was called in at 4:00.

I had a hen in overnight, not sick but frozen crest and I didn't have the time to blow her dry. Hopefully she can see better and her pink scalp won't be tempting to others.

I am proud to say I have not baked a single cookie! None of us need them so I don't do it any more and this year they weren't even missed. I will be doing up a batch of English Toffee later, simply the best and easiest stuff to make.

Preciouskitty... sorry about your hen.

Silly... I had that with UPS last month. They said "delivered to front door"... but I had NO package. I contacted UPS through live online chat with no results. I called all my neighbors to see if it was delivered to their front door by mistake... nope, nothing. Finally, my neighbor shows up the next day with my package. She said she found it 1/2 buried in the snow bank by the road. BY THE ROAD, not at my "front door" per their delivery statement. My driveway is 1/4 mile long & the idiot left it on the shoulder to get buried by the plow truck. I was upset & contacted UPS by online chat again. They then told me that they will use "front door" as a general response if they don't have where it was really left as one of their preset options. So, check the ditch & neighbors. From then on, I've always gone to UPS online & specifically made "delivery instructions" for each thing I've ordered so they're all left in the garage.

Raz... Good luck. Hope your surgery goes well.

Sugar and gingerbread chicken cookies. Also peanut butter cookies.
So yep I'm on the cookie bandwagon too.

@mindylee
I LOVE those chicken cookies!!!
I've made 10 diff kinds of cookies so far...10-12 doz of each. I give a lot away & am "expected" to bake (I don't mean this in a bad way; I love baking) ...everyone has their favorites ..
I'll post a pic of a cookie tray all made up tomorrow.

@RaZ good luck with your procedure..you're right you were much healthier before you got insurance ;)

@SillyChicken
USPS is on my "naughty" list, too. Though, admittedly, my issue isn't quite as bad as yours. Twice now I've ordered clothes from Victoria's Secret (I just love their bling fleece sweats) & our mail carrier has literally shoved & stuffed the package in the mailbox. These are not cheap items..at least FedEx & UPS always come to our door (& even leave the dog a treat on top of the box if we're not home).
Oh, your cream separater turned out really cool..not that I'd have much of a clue on how to use :)

Starting to get a few more eggs out of the girls. They are really digging this weather & the free ranging. Though, yesterday 3 red tails decided to really hang out here, so I made them all come in early. Think they were getting sick of diving for cover anyway!!

Ok. Back to finish wrapping. Just a few more ribbons/bows to get on packages ....

Recipe please, sounds delicious.

Merry Christmas- Happy Holidays everybody.

Ok this is is crazy. It is downright springlike outside. Was just putting the birds away, doing a little coop cleaning...the skies cleared, sun is shining and its 50 degrees.
Took a venison tenderloin out to BBQ.

I know I have mentioned many times just how much I hate winter. However, there is ONE exception. I like snow on XMAS morning

Doesn't look like we're gonna get much of anything except about an inch of rain & 50-60 mph wind gusts XMAS Eve

But, it sure is gorgeous out there right now...
