Looks great birdman, how many have you made & are using to hatch with ?
Hi neighbors, I'm not sure how to insert myself into this crazy long thread, so this is it I guess. Anyone else in Southeast MI?
So envious, it is cold and overcast here in MI. Expecting to get colder. How bout you send us some of your warm weather!!
How cool!
Hello, my husband and I are in Britton. This is our first time raising chickens. Do you already have chickens?
Yeah, now I'm worried. I have to do something permanent about it so I don't freak out when I hear that noise. Research time...We use it as an indoor riding arena/covered turnout for the horses. It also comes in handy during hay season as we can just pull hay wagons into the arena and then unload them when we have time and help to unload them. Our only regret with them is that we probably should have made the doors another foot taller and wider. 16 feet to the rafters in there.
Yep, now's the time to go out and check your gutters for ice dams and such.

Welcome,Hi neighbors, I'm not sure how to insert myself into this crazy long thread, so this is it I guess. Anyone else in Southeast MI?
Congratulations!Hi folks. I've been absent for a few months, and have been reading along for a week or so. I just didn't have anything to say. But I do now. Our Easter Egger, Mabel finally laid her first egg yesterday. She hatched last February or March, so almost a full year old. I figured she started laying over the summer, and her eggs were brown. Nope: it's a lovely pale green.
We also added a new bird to our flock. Pigwidgeon is a (for real) parakeet that my daughter got for Christmas. Parakeets are strange beings.
Sending thoughts of healing and wellness to those who need them. And happy birthday/new chicks/new coop plans to all.
