Is there any other things similar to chickenstock that are coming up anytime soon? Or any poltry shows?
I think with them, the smellier, the better. Also, that doe has been bred by the older buck before, so maybe she 'knows' him better. I don't know, but she normally settles with one go with a buck, hah!Stacy, glad you are back to hatching. Do does prefer the smellier bucks?
My Nigerian dwarfs kidded last year. It was freezing! We had to have heat lamps on them. In May! We had two doelings and one buckling. Hope everything goes well for you. Can you post some pics after they're born?Purebred Nigerian Dwarf kids are due in April! Whoohoo! Two does are confirmed bred through pregnancy testing (send in blood, get results by email). One doe hasn't settled. She's had four dates and is STILL open. I think it is because she doesn't like the buck I am pimping her with. She likes my other one who is older (and MUCH smellier). But the young guy got the other two bred, so he can do it without issues (he does stink, just not as much).
I have some Araucana eggs about to go into lockdown, too. They'll be basement chicks, hah!
