I grew up in Southwest Michigan! Do you have chickens or are you just beginning this crazy journey?

Everything is melting, and I am so happy! I too hope its a slow melt, but I can't help but cheer on these warmer temps! Tomorrow and Wednesday are supposed to be 50*! Wahooooo!

DH and I are looking after the neighbor's chickens, and I'm loving the extra eggs! We lost two girls before winter and with the decreased daylight, we're not getting enough eggs to fill my tummy. Happy to stock up and help out a friend.

Silly, sorry about your bees - mine ran off last summer, and I had to order a new package for this spring. Thinking of building a second hive just in case they swarm again this year. Maybe something a little different, in the way of a Top Bar but fun, there are lots of different ways people keep bees.

I'm glad that it's finally starting to warm up. I think spring is just around the corner, I caught my rooster pheasant courting one of his hens today. I'm eggcited to hatch some pheasant eggs!

Just after 10 pm and it's still almost 40 degrees! I am just loving this weather!!! I got 5 more eggs today to go with the 5 yesterday. Saving 'em up for the HAL. Thanks to those of you who pointed me in that direction.

hey everyone...thought i would check in...was a good day..about halfway full for the eggs for the hatchalong...and a bunch more showing up in the next day or so...cant wait....have a great night
