Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Surprisingly I am getting 5-6 eggs a day, my AB's and AB/CL crosses are really laying well, and my 2 good trusty Delawares are popping out at least an egg a day - with no lights. I have noticed a big decrease in feed consumption the ABs and crosses as the majority of my flock, they really do eat a lot less than my previous group.

we are getting 8~12 a day out of 34 hens, & we have never added lights or heaters
How many are pullets?

I got 10 out of 14 today, 6 yearlings and 8 pullets.
Several of the yearlings haven't been laying at all, using lights but all except one molted.

Daron (Farmerboy16) has been off this grid since mid-2015. I seem to remember him having "neighbor issues" with the emus and having to let them go. Maybe he can be contacted at his farm - Golden Willow Farm in Sparta. You can google that or check his profile. Maybe he's lurking and will pop in to tell us about the toddler and how farming is these days.

Was 7 eggs out of 8 hens today. That slacker had better not let me figure out that she's the one not producing. Got a hankering for chicken soup.
