That egg is a whopper!

Hi Glad and Rocky :)

I am ready to cut down to 2 roosters, if anyone is interested I have 2 Arkansas Blue roosters, around 4 months, that have to go. They are both blue. The AB's are skittish but not unfriendly, small standard birds and the hens lay a nice pure light blue large egg. They are very feed efficient. Crossed over a barred hen they will produce sex links.

Making the decision on who goes to freezer camp...

I have several lovely surplus roosters that would be a nice addition to a flock and don't deserve freezer camp.

While many of the boys are Salmon Faverolle, Light Brahma, or Dark Cornish crosses (mostly with Ameraucana), I also have:

Roosters or pairs of Silver Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben - beautiful small large fowl that lay a white egg, are great foragers and very interactive.

Black Araucana rooster - clean faced with tail but mother is tufted and father is tailless.

Lavender Orpington roosters - beautiful carriage and feathers.

Lavender Ameraucana rooster - lovely even color throughout.

Sulmtaler rooster - very calm bird best suited for a small flock.

Blue Copper Marans rooster - lovely boy for a backyard flock.

Black Copper Marans rooster - lovely boys for a backyard flock.

Mixed breeds: many EE with pea comb. Remainder are large combed mixed parentage with lovely colors including red/gold, black/straw, white/black, tricolor, etc.

At least 25 will be sent to freezer camp next Friday unless they find new homes. Located in Macomb County adjacent to Rochester.

I live in the UP, but travel down to Lansing every few weeks.

The blue-black-splash gene group is also called Andalusian Blue for the breed it originated from. These guys are smaller, with a pea comb - sprightly and good foragers. I have yet to see or hear of an aggressive rooster in this breed.
if you can make a stop in Houghton lake on your way to Lansing I will take one

Are you rehoming or selling your birds? If selling them what are you charging?
