Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

@1muttsfan Yep. It was a sad day in Armada when he passed. He was so active in the community. My senior year, 1979, the girls softball team made it to the State Finals which were to be held in Clare. There wasn't money in the budget to send us the day before. When Doc found out that we were going to drive in the same day as the games, he very quietly put up the money for the whole team to stay in a hotel the night before, so we would be well rested for the games. This didn't become known to anyone for a lot of years. He didn't want anyone to know. :)

He was very popular up here.

@RaZ So you're admitting you've always had a knack for causing trouble? ;) lol Somebody's got to give the establishment h*ll! Keeps 'em honest.

Hey everyone! It's been a little while since I posted. I hope everyone is well.

My girls are still on strike only getting lg egg a couple times a week and a bantam egg about 5 times a week out of 10 mature hens. Combs are pale and most are finishing up their molt. Hopefully they start laying again soon fortunately my dads getting eggs again so I don't have to eat eggs from the store yuck!

:frow

I'm down to 1 egg a day from 15.

Egg production is very low as usual this time of year - 12 a day versus 48 (or so). Ducks quit and will resume in the spring. But, FGs are starting to produce kits. Pigs should be expecting. Goats are still coming into heat and some should be good to go for kids. Spring is only a few Mondays from now:)
