Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Think my hawk attack victim is doing a lot better. past 2 days I've had to clean up what looks like egg off of her. still has quite a bit of healing to do yet.

Kinda think she was disappointed today that all I did today was just rinse her off in the barn sink instead of another epsom salt soak there. she's gotten kinda spoiled I think.

hope the egg you are cleaning off doesn't mean she has an egg broke inside that could be bad

Also does anyone sell guinea hatching eggs?

I'd be happy to give you some but around here they don't start laying until around the end of March. I ordered mine from California a couple years ago because I could get them earlier. I have lavender, Pearl and pied girls and a buff and a white male.

I had the turkeys penned up in the coop during the past windy days we had here. I let them out today and they were full of it. They took after and treed a fox squirrel that they took an instant dislike to. Funny thing is they chase everything including dogs but they are afraid of my young Guinea fowl. The Guineas (maybe 1/8th the size) go in the turkey coop and the turkeys come tearing out to get away from them. Insane but lovable birds!

Deep Breaths Dude.
Which new law are you referring to?

I "think" it's the Veterinary Drug restrictions, which are Federal, not State, controlled. And in no state is the poultry or poultry shows any more "real" than Michigan, and if stock comes in across state lines it had to be tested Pullorum and Typhoid free and certified before shipment. I am not sure what the rant is.
