Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Does anyone have a duck hen for sale? I hatched some chicken eggs from a friend, and a duck egg from her ducks got in there. She didn't want him, so guess I'll be keeping him lol.
I really want to get my duck a duck friend. Preferably a Cayuga. He's five months old.'
I have lots of ducklings... 2 week olds and more hatching today. Mixed breeds. I'll PM you. I'm 30-45 min north of Grand Rapids

Thank you for all the offers for eggs. I did find some locally. So excited to try this! Wish me luck!

Good luck! My first broody hatched her eggs 3 weeks ago. It's been such a fun experience. She's a great mama, 3 of her 4 eggs hatched. She has them out with the rest of the flock all day and takes breaks to warm them as needed and still sleeps in her nesting box with them. So cute!

I wasn't going to replace the lost bee hives this year but I have changed my mind.
A summer without bees is just winter.

And winter was bad. I didn't even tap trees for syrup.

I didn't tap either.

We had a swarm hanging out in our front yard last week. I like bees, I respect bees, and I fear bee stings (severely allergic) but these were gentle. We had to move the woodpile they tried to take over and they just circled.

Should have called me. I would have come out for them.
