Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Looks like the weather folk got it right this time. Snow, snow and more snow. Lots of blowing. Time to go out there and start shoveling. Have fun and please take care out there!

5" of Wet and HEAVY.
Preceded by rain and freezing rain.
Still snowing and now windy.
Chen run sagged but did not collapse or even bend(except maybekinda in one place).

We have snow! Only about 5", and blowing, and I'm already over it.
This morning we got a new propane tank from a new deliverer; better pricing. What a miserable day for them to come out! The new tank is in the front yard by the front entrance until the ground is frozen enough to place it permanently. Looks great there, hohoho.
I haven't let the chickens out yet, and I'll bet they won't go anywhere anyhow. Winter!

They are still calling for more snow tonight. We got bumpus here. Just had some slushy roads on the way to work. The wind is another story! The bay looked ominous at sunset. Maybe something big will blow in off the water. I want to plow some snow.

We ended up with about 7 1/2"....1-3 more tomorrow.
It's a mess...am basically snow bound, until I get thrower on tractor...
.... and use it like plow cause ground is still warm and it probably won't 'throw'.
I could wait until it locks up, supposed to stay below freezing until Thurs, then it might throw......or I could wait until Friday when it warms up and rains for 3 days.

It's all locked onto the trees and some fencing still...hope the power stays on.

Heeheheeh. No snow here.
Just mud.
I got a pleasant surprise this evening. I gave my muscovy breeders to a friend so I have no more muscovy in hopes of a more relaxed fall and today I filled the feeder and only about an inch of feed was missing tonight. I guess penned muscovy eat a lot. The butchered birds were yummy, and I will miss them and their fun ways, but not enough to get more. I want a big, long break from labor intensive butchering. Just easy butchering now. I would not mind doing meat chickens if I get the itch. Chickens only take a few minutes to butcher, quarter, and bag, after all.
