Sounds like you had something different.
This is what had done CMC joint repair:

They also fixed the joint closer to tip of thumb(MCP), so two pins in for two months, and this cast for closer to 3 months:

Sorry probably TMI.

3 months of not using my arm took its own toll.
Indeed.
Building the muscles back up after months of inactivity is rough.
Hard to work the forearm if your hand is incapacitated.

I've had a dozen surgeries on my hands. Carpel tunnel, trigger fingers, another wrist surgery. Right now, my right index finger is "catching". My pinky is painful. Hoping I don't need another surgery. Hands are always stiff. Not fun.

Sure isn't....and this cold doesn't make it easier.
Had a trigger thumb released...another finger had it too, not as bad and it resolved on it's own.

Gees, all you old people talking about your aches and pains :old

I had my first PT for my knee today. Relieved a bit of pain and moved some to other areas. Twice a week for 4 weeks before I can get an MRI approved. Gotta love how the insurance company dictates medical treatment instead of allowing the doctor the prescribe treatment. :he

Anywho...let's talk chickens. I'm looking for lavender orps.

How about turkey?.....just stewed a turkey back(half) and neck(raw, I buy fresh butcher).
Was amazed how much meat was there. Turkey neck/broccoli salad wrap on deck for lunch....will save back meat for soup.
