Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

What is really nice is that the doors are insulated and have double weather stripping.
I need to do some finish trim but I'm now at a point that I can work inside the garage and get the rest of it finished.

Yay, Randy!! :wee
Starting a renovation AFTER the holidays is better than before. But, good excuse to not host Christmas dinner. We did a kitchen reno in our house in Davison. Such a big mess!! Redid the whole dang house, and then we moved. Made sure to buy a house that had no updates needed.
Sun is suppose to break thru today, so that will be nice to see some sunshine. Was a pretty day yesterday. Let the chickens out of their run under a watchful eye. Didn't see the hawks. Hoping I can let them out today, also
Have a good one....

Oh yeah been there done that!! We updated our kitchen in the old place and new plumbing in the bathroom at the same time - ie: no running water in either room. We had to take showers outside with the garden hose! Thank goodness we had no neighbors and a hot water supply! But we did head into fall and some of those showers were pretty brisk! That was back when we had no money. We ended up taking out the vintage metal (rusty) cabinets and big enamel farm sink (almost wish I had the sink still) and replaced with some cabinets my dad took out of a house in Ann Arbor. They were better than we had.

So, hubby finally made up his mind about the holiday, we are hosting for his family on Sunday, I have no decorations up or food in the pantry, so I will be busting my buns this week. He has to travel for work so I am on my own! I was up in the attic attic getting stuff down, and found a live bat. I hate killing them so I took the risk and put him out in the sheep barn. Hope he makes it and doesn't give my sheep rabies! lol, can't imagine what a rabid sheep would act like...

Every day going to work we pass the home of a couple I went to school with, well this morning, there were 8-10 fire trucks in their yard... they lost their barn in a fire. Luckily they didn't lose any of the cattle that was in it. I feel bad for them. I asked if they needed any hay or grain. I couldn't do much but I will donate a bag of grain or bale or two.

I'm finally getting over that cold, man did it have a go at me!

So the hens are looking in better condition. I have heavily wormed them a few times this fall and think they are at least looking better. Though, I have only been gifted 2 eggs in the last 2 months. Their feathers have come in much nicer after this molt.

Raz, Glad you are making progress, slow and steady wins the race right!
