Holidays are just another day to me. I'll be working on something X-mas day, New Year's 's Eve and all the rest. I am completely stress-free during the holidays.

Same here...except for the people who think it's such a shame that I'm 'alone on xmas'..
...keep getting invited to dinners, hard to explain I'm perfectly happy avoiding anyone's holiday induced family drama(at least in a polite way). I won't even go into how I feel about christmas, which I have dubbed consumer-mass. Ooops, sorry.

I'm working on getting my mom's house downstate sold, we had an offer and there have been Untold number of emails texts and phone calls, most of which would have been unnecessary if people had actually done things in an organized way. Especially the realtor, who is very scattered. Closing is supposed to be Friday . Managing her estate has been very time consuming, and emotionally difficult, so hopefully this is close to the last action in the process.

Silly, so sad for your neighbors. I think we all live in fear of our livestock in danger.

I feel your pain. I've had to deal with my Mom's estate for the past 2 years. I made dozens of trips back and forth to deal with crap issues. I still have a storage pod filled with crap from her house, The rental fee is a monthly waste of money and a constant reminder of the BS that her daughter caused when she blocked the sale of the house in 2017. It added another year of expenses and taxes. Good luck with the closing, Mutts.

The garage is already too small.
I'll be having a huge garage sale come spring.

Funny thing about the GC house. The ordinance nazi tried to block the sale of the house. I suppose just to mess with me. That caused some headaches but the buyer had a good lawyer and shut the OO down.
A friend down there told me that the house is now a welfare rental unit and the neighborhood looks like a ghetto.

...as did I, but much longer ago.
Then I had to escape Kalamazoo...now am out in the boonies on a big enough property to where neighbors are far enough away that they really haven't been a problem.
