Morning, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. It's back to work for me today!

Mine was OK I guess. We trashcan cooked one of the turkeys we raised and had in the deep freeze. I was really worried that a 32 pound bird wouldn't get done, but 40 pounds of charcoal and 3 hrs later we had turkey fit for a king! The only thing I don't like about cooking a bird this way is not getting in bird cooked stuffing and the wonderful smell in the house. At least it gets the guys involved with the cooking part and I had everything else made up the day before so I could enjoy the day. We had our best friends and mother n law out on Sunday (daughter's hubby got sick so they didn't come out). Monday we went to our best friends to enjoy their family holiday and Tuesday we went to my families dinner. I need to go on a diet! lol!

We have been having such a mild winter so far... hopefully it won't hit us hard in Jan/feb and it won't extend into the spring!

It's a ghost town here. Everyone recovering from all the hustle and bustle of Christmas?
Glad you got all that wiring done, Randy.
It was a pretty decent day yesterday. Haven't seen the hawks around, so the chickens got a few hours out on the grass. Happy chickens!
Son went back home to Chicago, so all is quiet here. 2 less dogs to pick up after. We had 16 people and 6 dogs in the house for Christmas. We all had fun and ate lots of Manicotti!
Have a good day all....

I remember the post holiday quiets.....it's always quiet here now, lol.

Had a house sitting situation, dripping pipe....not an emergency but they wanted it fixed today before they got home so I had to go over the let the plumber in, hope he doesn't lock himself out.

Big rain a comin'.......pic from 7:30, already started here...y'all will get it too.
One chicken out in run sipping drips off the roosts and fencing.
