Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Wow, Raz! glad to hear that nobody blew off to Kansas.
Yesterday was a very wicked weather day up here, the wind was out of the North at sustained 35 to 45 miles an hour, with gusts over 60. At times my whole back yard look like a big snow tornado. Everything here that's not tied down is frozen down though, so we weathered it okay.
After the wind picked up I walked out to the chicken coop to shut the pop door, and when I turned to go back to the house my footprints were already blown full of snow. Hope winter doesn't last too much longer.
The Mackinac Bridge was closed for most of the day due to a combination of wind and falling ice, somebody was driving across and their windshield was smashed by ice falling from the upper cables. Fortunately they were alone in the car and no one was hurt.

yeah, picked a pretty good weekend to be kinda sick weather wise. Amy got some nasty cough and sinus thing and she honestly just needed to stay home and rest up to get over it, but she's been pushing herself there. Keep telling her to just do the opening and then go home. At least Thursday her Maid of Honor went to the Boss and got him to send her home instead of sitting there being miserable. And she did take Friday off. Me, got a heck of a throat tickle with some coughing last night, and just kinda felt kinda off. I probably could have pushed through it, but opted to take the day off today and rest a little, hope to clear it out of my system. Did see some shingles off at Mom's house, but I didn't really go do a long inspection of everything today. was just a good afternoon to hang out in the chair there with a little puppy who loved having me around to watch her story with her.

Granny and Sam need your prayers. Granny is failing and need prayers to ask Jesus to take her home. There's nothing else that can be done for her. They are withholding fluids and usually within 3-4 days, the patient passes. Granny is being stubborn and she is on her 8th day without fluids. Keep Sam and Granny in your prayers. Sam is going through a very difficult time and needs our support.

Raz, I found your shirt........

Thanks, Rose. My BF's dad took 2 weeks to pass on once they stopped fluids - never seen anything like it. Hopefully she goes in peace. Things are never the same after you loose your Mom. Pass on our condolences.
