It's hard to fine 'green and white' chickens, and none named 'Spartan Whites' either!

Thanks Mary I needed a good laugh! I'll probably have to settle for some farm store hatchery chicks. Hubby told me to get some last weekend at TSC but I didn't have anything ready to bring them home.

We usually only have lice problems when I have starlings in the coop, and I figure that if I’m not gonna eat eggs (because of sevin in the nest boxes) for a week or 2, I may as well worm them too. If the wild birds brought in lice, they may have brought in other stuff. That kind of stuff really grosses me out though, so I’d rather do kind of a “prophylactic” treatment than wait for an infestation where they are actually passing worms.

What wormer and regime do you use?

Have only wormed once, saw rounds in poop, used Wazine.
When I slaughter I look at intestines have never seen them there.
But maybe I'm fooling myself, wish I knew how to do fecals.

Was it Piperazine? It is effective on round worms for all sorts of livestock.

About a month ago Big Mary Marans laid a 'monster' egg.

3 weeks later she laid a normal egg,
then a few days after that I found a softie that I suspect came from her,
the last night found another monster egg. SMH.

I don't grow them, but my chickens LOVE them! I would be interested too
