Last couple of nights have been quite cool here. 50-54. Brrr.

Treated a couple of hens with Blue Kote. Of course my hands are now stained blue.

When my hands are cold the fingers turn white thanks to the frostbite I had.
I'm just treating dome bare skin from pecking order disputes.
I'll take advantage of the cool to go cut some fire wood. I have 2 downed ash, 1 big oak and a couple of maples to cut and split.

My saphire gems are as big as the other hens now. They are timid birds and rarely come out of the coop. They come out when I clean it tonight or tomorrow. ha

I've got some nipped fingertips too, they get cold fast but not at 50°F

I wasn't awake yet...I missed the joke.
At around 50' my fingers start to ache. I hate stocking the cooler at work. It's 38' in there. The freezer is even worse, 0 to -10. Even with gloves my fingers turn that whitish-grey colour. Looks like death.

I used to love the cold. Did a lot of ice diving and deep water wrecks. Even in Lake Superior. That's some cold water.
