Orientation went well today. About half the time was dealing with IT issues and getting us peons in the system. I have to admit that I really like the way this company is established. I'm looking forward to the real start date.

Just have to survive the next few weeks. At least we were paid for today. Payday is next week but then a 2 week gap before the job really starts. I'm resigning the gas station job tomorrow. Remind me to request the date for CS20.

Are you giving 2 weeks notice at that gas station, for some money until the other kicks in?

I'm near Perry, so not far at all. Digging time? Soon, depending on the soil. They do move easily. Any size from tiny to already flowering.

The owner already cut my hours back to almost nothing. I don't think I owe and courtesy but I will give notice. I'm only scheduled for 2 days a week for the rest of the month.

Everyone starting at this new store will be part-time to start. They are going to weed out the lesser qualified workers. This store is starting with a new format and a new way of doing business. Still based on the old values. I'm looking forward to it.

I think Raz had a bad lilac encounter in a previous life

I love the white lilacs, they seem to smell so much more than the darker ones. I have a really beautiful French double though that has long lasting blossoms with a fabulous aroma.
You guys are making me jealous, the ground here is still completely covered with snow and we had snow and ice last night. Still waiting for spring.

I've dug out a ton of those smelly weeds.

I'll also say that you all haven't reacted so much to my comments about lilacs. A few years ago I really got the comments when I stirred the lilac pot.
