Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Did your he person check to see if you qualify for fmla? You have to have been with the company 1 year with 1000 hours worked. Fmla protects you from termination when sick. Sounds like you Dr would fill out any paperwork you would need.
I'm self insured. Work has nothing to do with my condition. Work is only involved if I call in.

I dislike hot tubs. Don't like hot. Hot weather, hot drinks. I went to my temp family doctor on the 1st to get referral to orthopedic dr. Said he would get it in and I should hear from the dr in a few days. Called the orthopedic dr office yesterday, and they haven't received it yet. Called back family dr and they just sent it out on the 14th. What took 2 weeks to send a e mail?
Hope the drs can get you healthy again! This is scary! Keep us updated on what's going on. We are family here.

Geeeeeezzzz.....Chicken Drama last night!
Little Sister skittishly trying to roost with others,
maybe because meanest yearling was in a nest(now in a crate),
and broken egg mess in another nest.
Not sure if she's broody or having laying problems.
Tomorrow should be interesting.

Fmla doesn't have anything to do with insurance. It does protect you from negative effects of having to take time off due to personal illness. An employer can not hold fmla time off against your attendance, nor can they terminate you. It is limited to a max of 12 weeks off in a year. I have had to use it for my own surgery and illness in the past. (Had shingles on my face- worst ever) as well as for both of my parents. It has saved my job multiple times.
