Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Checking in. Lots of new folks on here. Maybe we can get a nice turn out at Chickenstock 2021. I sure hope people will go considering we cancelled this year. Not much to report. My favorite doe Heather died. She had triplets and thank God they were weaned before her death. I'm building another goat house that will be 12 feet wide for the big pen and reusing the small old house for a duck house as my flock has increased. Hope everyone is doing good.

Very good looking day here too. Just too darn cold for my liking. Wind was off the water all day yesterday and last night. Still, I'll be going out for a host of chores that should warm me up. Like cutting more firewood and getting it split & stacked. Tractor work. Clean the duck house. And lots more. Who wants to join in the fun?

Bella still isn't moving. Left hind leg is still useless. Other than giving her some pain meds, I can't get her proper vet help. I'm dead broke. Long story there that I might go into later.

Bow hunters are in the woods along with goose hunters and fishermen on the small lake; dune buggies, dirt bikes; and golf carts on the trails. Living next to state land has a few down sides.

I've been getting more small eggs from the pullets every day. The eggs are only slightly bigger than bantam eggs. Just a tad larger than a ping pong ball. Kind of cute.

Lions aren't playing today so I won't be swearing at the TV. LOL

Welcome Hrseluvr.

A few of the girls knocking on the door for me to come out and refill the birdfeeders. They like to browse under the feeders and collect the spilled seed. They need to start chasing the chipmunks away and claim the spillage for themselves.
