Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

We missed you too.....were worried about your absence, luckily someone used the old phone call technology and connected.
Even that was spotty. Phone service was turned off for some time too. I'm okay for the immediate future.
During the no-pay period I made sure that my animals were provided for. That is always my first priority.

Welcome back!
BTW, around here the local tiny public libraries are part of a larger group, so belonging to one means belonging to several. If true where you are, maybe there's one that does have internet that you can use.
The days are getting longer, love it, even though winter is in full swing.

Hi Raz, we sure missed you! :loveIt can be so frustrating to deal with customer service, but I always wonder what it must be like taking call after call from people who are unhappy.

I suspect there are folks who have dropped off BYC due to sad events which we never hear about. My sister is on here, although not as active as I am, so she would know to notify people if something bad came up. Between pandemics, politics and onset of inclement weather, things are very unsettled right now.

On a better note my hens have gifted me with 4 eggs in the last week and a half! It is at least one of the 3 pullets who have started laying. My big girls are still finishing up a very long molt that lasted well into cold weather. Hope they get going better soon, I miss those eggs.

Indeed! Remembering that and being calm and kind can get you some really good service.

Hope they get going better soon, I miss those eggs.
Same here.......gonna have to buy some. :(
...and plan for new pullets this spring so next winter will not be eggless.

Or sometimes you have to get a bit tough with customer service. We cancelled HughesNet. They wanted us to climb on the roof to get their transformer off the dish. Uh, don't think so. We're a little too old for that. Ok, that will be $120 for a service tech to come out and do it. Uh, don't think so. It's your equipment, you come and get it. A lot of oh no I'm not paying and WTH are you thinking. We have to do everything ourselves and be on the phone for hours trying to get service. They did send a tech out the next day. I worked in retail for many years. I so dislike when bad service is given. I always went out of my way to make the customers happy. I had customers that would only deal with me. So I try and be nice, but sometimes....
