That coop was tagged at $1,987.00. Has nothing more. Just like that. Very nice looking and very nice on the inside. But too much money.

Gambrel roofs stink!
Very difficult to ventilate.

What makes them no good? (Ignorant about stuff like this.)

There's no way to have ventilation along the long walls of that so-called coop, so only the ends can be opened up. Then in winter, when you want the lower half of the windward end closed, there's nowhere near enough ventilation remaining. It's a closet, or storage shed, not a coop.

Also, roof overhangs matter, and that thing has none.

I did see one keeper 'fix' a gambrel roof.
They also extended the roof overhangs on each end to protect the gable vents.

The price of construction materials has soared, and sheds that previously would have been under $1000 are now much more expensive. It also makes building your own a lot more costly.

Look at garden sheds at the big box stores, and keep checking craigslist, at least. Adding ventilation to a walk-in shed is easier than building the whole thing from scratch. And get something as large as possible; regrets happen when it turns out too small...
And you do have a nice yard!
