I haven't posted much lately. Somewhat busy with work, home, and visiting neighbors. And I've have a case of the buckets.

Anywho...let the chickens out this morning and a Chanty makes a beeline to behind the garage. Just checked that area and found 8 eggs. No broody hens I think. Just a new area to lay. A second duck hen has gone missing. I think that the 2 duck ladies are sitting on nests. I hope that is the case.

The county wants to close the file on the weatherization project that they did here. Overall I am pleased with what the crew did. I'm a bit disappointed that they only replaced one window. Five other windows are pretty bad. I was hoping that they would be replaced. The other thing is that the electric water heater went out on Friday. I'll ask them to check if it is a reset button or a total failure of the unit. No hot water is a PITA. No shower and can't wash dishes. I'm taking my showers at the neighbor's house for now. They are weekend people and I'm storing their golf cart and RZR in my garage. They are great people to know.

Got a few more things planted in the garden. I still have a lot more room for more. Neighbor is bringing up a bunch of plants this weekend.

My break is over now so I'll go back out and do a few more chores before dark. So many projects and not enough time to work them all. I thought retirement was supposed to be relaxing.

We had a good rain on Sunday. Nice downpour.
Getting ready for camping trip. The weather will be cooler. Which is ok with me. The nights are a little too cold. Grandkids will be disappointed that maybe they won't be able to swim. Could take them to indoor water park, but last time we did that, they said they had enough after about a 1/2 hour!
