Hello y'all,
Our old farm dog was diagnosed with cancer on Monday. We're not quite sure how long she's got left with us and find out soon. She's doing good as of now.

When it rains it pours, I guess.

We will be. We find out what cancer she has soon.
She's anywhere from 13-16 years old(she is from a different country, they weren't sure on her age at the shelter), so we don't plan on pursuing chemotherapy. Riding in a vehicle and being touched by strangers bothers her and gets her worked up. If surgery is an option, we will take it. If it is something that can't be treated with surgery, we plan to just let her live out the rest of her days being lazy and spoiled until she lets us know it's time.

She's a good old lady.

I'll be sure to let everyone know what the outcome is.

Dogs love us with everything they have at every moment. Know you are doing the best for her and loving her with all you have. All of these little creatures in our lives are special gifts. Good luck and sending well wishes your way.

Troyer, love the hens and chicks, I had a couple hens that shared chicks once, that is so sweet.

We did indeed have frost the night before last. It took a couple of asparagus spears, wilted some potato leaves, and curled a few other things. But the strawberries were ok! I covered them, thank goodness. And a few are turning pink.

Today, I planted 27 tomatoes, 6 peppers, and 5 melons in my heavy soil garden. It took 6 hours. I planted 13 tomatoes in my sandy soil garden, and it took 45 minutes. I could dig the holes with my hands. SMH.
