Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I don't know why....didn't ask.
Answer probably would be, because Corporate Said So.

For 12 total?
Math works for space.... but you'll have to integrate,
which means making separate sections in both coop and run.
Risks bringing pests and/or disease in.
Sure you want to deal with that?

This link is pretty cool. So many ideas!!!
What I have no clue how would I divide the coop. As it is, seems very difficult unless I kind of re-do the whole thing. Remove openings and close up other opennings. I can up the roosting area but cannot divide.
I think I would love to include more chicks. This six are the special ones, lol And like I said before, better young laying pullets so I do not get too emotionally attached.

I wrote that about 2 days ago. Sorry!

Thanks, but no.....I"m not very social, rather downright hermitous.
Social!? Come on, you are the star of the group and it will be you as the roosters and we as the chicks just clucking about chickens, lol

I understand. But it really would be nice to just learn each other more and besides, as humans we all need to interact. Social in the internet does not counts,:D

Hi Everyone! Sorry I had been away for a bit. Yesterday woke up at 2am with pain in my right shoulder. Then it was the arm, forearm and hand to finger. Spent most of the afternoon and evening in the emergency room. Had a blast watching people crying when told they were positive for C19, yet decide not to wear a mask. Hub went in only to bathrrom and I stayed as far as possible from everyone with double mask. Had also a blast with nurses. They either did not read my symptoms or did not know. Th kept asking me questions as to see if I was having a heart stroke. But if they had read that it was my right arm, all that gets ruled out. Anyways, I thought it was a pinched nerve and that it was exactly what it was. I though it was in the shoulder but it happened on my neck while sleeping. But I am feeling better today. Hard to lift full arm up but I was happy to be home with my girls. Last night everything was wide open but they were safe. The auto door closed but I had the other door open to ventilate better until the winter hits hard.

@aart I must tell you that I love you so much first of anything. I know, that is what kids do before they ask for something. And you might be right. About those other chicks: Hub broke the garage door and I could quarantine them there for 2 months or so. Doors are in back up for 3 months. I can do the see but do not touch in the run in the back part because hub put some 2x4's standing in there and they are aligned for the most part. I also have a large crate they can use to sleep (if not too cold)out in the run. Just in case, remember that I love you. I just have no clue of the coop. Would they never be able to sleep in the same house together? I love you

I wonder if a welfare check could be done by the local police
Yes you can if you have the address. He might not like it but it is worth the shot. I have done it for my sister in Puerto Rico. She did not liked it but I told her that she needed to communicate just to let me know she was at least alive. In my case is kind of different becasue I was a PO and I know many PO back in my hometown and they know my family. So it was not difficult.
The father of my baby, well his wife, from Oregon, sent PO's to my house in Muskegon to make sure I was ok on a summer visitation of my son. So, it can be done.
