Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

@Dreamzchaser I was curious, so put in the search bar "Chicken walking backward". This was one of the results.
It's an interesting read, for sure.
I read one that said it could be vitamin e deficiency. She is fine. She is a knucklehead for sure. Some days behaves like a gluton and eats until she has to reflex her neck to bring the freaking food down.Totally a knucklehead. She is trying to mirror P2 and she has gotten stepped on too. A complete brain broken chicken, lol

Well, well, well! Back from an unwanted staycation on the hosp. The stupid BP will not regulate at all. Was up to 194 but what topped it was the tight chest feeling. So, all is in the past and looking forward to whatever is next.
Told hub to make oatmeal for the girls and find some blueberries on the freezer from last year. So he did. Next day, he told me at the hosp that he did not wanted to worry me but he thought the girls had the AI. I asked why and if their faces were swollen with white around the eyes and he said no but that their feces were completely black. I told him that was because he probably put too much blueberries in their oatmeal. That was just hilarious!
I did noticed that the bigger of teh tiny Sebrights, Tamera, changed her feather during winter and now she has all of her feather tips white. I think she was mixed with a silver sebright, which I would love a roo like that. I just do not know if the others will give him the run for his life or if he could reach to mate with them at all. I have read that they have had but I am not sure. I cannot get a regular roo because he will kill my sebrights if he tries to mate with them tiny things.

Hope to be able to begin exercizing again by next week. So I am so sorry if I have been so out of touch with everyone. I am glad to be home and see my girls. That always makes me feel better.
Hub told me that last Monday as he was coming back from hosp, he saw the biggest possum around teh front yard and that he ran towards the neighbor. That has me a bit scared but hopefully and if this snowing thing stops and gets warmer, I could go and see how I can make sure it is more secure for the girls. Have also been thinking of finding a way to move the coop towards the back. Not t oo happy because in the winter, that will be alonger walk in the snow but I was playing with the fact that I would like to have another coop and that way, there will be 2 coops with a mutual run for more chickens. But that is still under "thought process" and not really into any planning.
Glad to read about our new member and Raz's adventures. I did sat for a while today and watch birds thios morning again. Beautiful Northern cardinals and red bellied woodpeckers.
I did noticed holes all around the yard. Seems like the moles are coming back up since temperatures are fooling around from warm to cold to warm again. That put me to think if I wanted to begin a garden. I think I will have to do raised beds in legs so they do not go for the carrots, potatoes, or other stuff that grow under ground. However, I really thought the idea of tilling a bit and let the girls do some work would be funny and a pleasure to see. However, I am not into gardening at all so far.
Well, I am glad to be able to stop by but I must go back to bed. Hopefully tomorrow ia a bran new day!
Love you all!

That would make me feel a bit panicky.

Here is one that I am keeping. Cubalaya x Sebright cross. His size is halfway between bantam and standard fowl.

So hubby was home for almost a week, then pneumonia and back to Sparrow! Better now, moved to inpatient rehab there today. Progress, very slowly.
Meanwhile, nothing else is getting done; interesting times!
Chickens and horses are coping with 'benign neglect', wild geese, ducks, cranes all over the place, and too many deer. Fun to watch but can't let the chickens out at all...

Do I get invited too?
Of course! Who else?

Wednesday, April 13th, is the only day that for sure I can't do it, but other than that, most of my time is open. I have a lot (lot-lot-lot) of work to do in the garden, but than can fit around other things, usually.

There will be a day when I have to be home to receive a shipment of our new mower. Hopefully I get at least one day ahead notice to plan for that.

I sure hope he is doing better. Having had a couple of open-hearts I can relate to the recovery process. It is certainly a strange thing to go through. Give hubby my best. He'll get through it just fine.
