Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Tonight we celebrated Christmas Eve with my son and DIL and her family. The roads were icy and I was rear-ended right in front of my son's house, just as I was turning in. My car did a 180. DH and I bumped our heads, lightly. No one was hurt. My car will need a little work. It really wasn't the young lady's fault. It was the weather. No ticket was issued. I'm just bummed to have to go through all the hassle of getting it fixed. It's totally drivable, in the meantime.

Be careful out there

Well I guess the snow amount was just a BIG scare for this area. Forecasted totals was up to two feet and we maybe have 3". The temperature forecast was spot on though.
I'm happy with less snow, we don't necessarily need the moisture as all our creeks, rivers and lakes are above normal water levels right now.

Are you down near 3rivers?
We got about 18-20", hard to tell for sure with the drifting and settling, and it's still snowing.

I think we got about 6-8"; very hard to tell with the blowing and drifting. Dh has plowed the driveway a couple times, will do it again today.

We have power, plenty to eat, a warm house, each other, a happy puppy. And a lovely flock. And my friends here on BYC.

Love you all.
