Hi lovelies! I am doing a lot of bad things lately. You see, I have a friend that I love her so much that got me into getting an instant pot for broth and stuff. Well, was only able to get the instant pot pro. That thing is magical. Cooked chicken gizzard and they were done in 15min. So soft and mouth watering. Then made some chicken and the same. 2 days ago, I thought I had taken out some steaks and ended up with half pork butt. Put it in there and it was done in 30 min. Oh, Lord, if all bad influencing friends were like that, this world would be heaven,lol

I'm happy to be a good bad influence!

Really, if I had to pick one kitchen appliance, it would be my Instant Pot, with its air fryer lid.

If my oven dies, I have the IP to take care of all the oven-y things. On a smaller scale, but I'd get by.

I remember a teacher I had in high school. He and his wife were building their house while they were living in it. They had a fridge, but no stove at all. He said, "Crock pot meals and lots of salads," was how they got by.

Well, Jllo gave me her first egg today! So my babies are all grown up.
On another note, Lovechild was caught mating poor eggless Sophia NN and hub chased him. He is afraid he can hurt her since she has no feathers on her neck. I told him to stop playing God and let nature take place how real God I tended,lol

Been crocheting but will put pics soon. Snow is coming soon!

Ooh chickenstock looks fun! I’ll have to see if I’m free, though June is already pretty booked for me also, my Cubalayas I recently got from Troyer are laying much more than my 15 other laying hens combined!

My neighbor will split an order of chicks with me!


She'll take any males, and I think she might want enough to get past M Mc M's minimum order. I told her if it's still under the min, I'd pay the fee. Because:

I want some Bielefelders! 3 or 4 pullet chicks.

She's flexible on time, so it'll be after we add onto the coop, after it gets warm enough to paint and build stuff. If I have a broody hen, ok. If not, I have the big dog crate I've used for brooding before.

Mary, don't worry. Snowbird is my guy for the rest of his life. I'm not replacing him.
