Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

We had a TON of snow (thanks to the Chicago Lake Effect). My chicken chickens wouldn't go out in it. Until they flew down the hill and got stuck at the bottom. Treats helped them find their way back to the coop 😏

My poor Wanda (pictured) looks like a down pillow with loose feathers sticking out all over. My tiny Rocket looks like Frier Tuck, she's balding. Must be moulting season. I'm thinking of picking up a bag of non-medicated layer at my feed store for a protien boost (19%) and mixing it with their feed (currently 14% protien).

Well, with pain in my heart, Smurfette is waiting for me in heaven. Took me a few days. Did the cover of the run but left Pitbull 's run opened and now everyone is on the big coop. Very happy that Pitbull and Itty-bitty are friends. 11inches of white stuff fell of the skies. Opened the run but they acted as suspected, chickens, lol

Made steps for inside of run into the coop because soon will need to close the front door because wind takes snow through door edges.

Canceled heart test in the 31st, told the I was not going to drive 3hrs for a 30 min test under a snow storm. Next date is the 29th but if I feel weird about the weather, it will have to be done next year.
