Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

You know, I am traveling to the Chicago area for Thanksgiving and passing close to Benton harbor 🤔
You think so? I can send you her phone number in a pm. She calls and texts. Her name is Denise. We also haven't had any cases of HPAI in Berrien County and all the outbreaks in the counties directly around us have been bovine.

First "snow" of the year. Ok it's a dusting, but enough that the ramp had a thin layer making it white. I open the pop door, one of my gals pokes her head out, and goes back in while I'm clearing the thin layer off the ramp. She comes out. Next one looks out and "nope" not going out. Ok girls, I cave and give them their warm breakfast inside today. Little bit later, I look inside and two of my hens have decided to go back to bed (on the roost sitting down). Yeh, I get it girls, I feel the same way.

Not me sleeping in until my husband wakes me up when I have to clock in for work. Oops. I definitely feel like the chickens today.

My covered run keeps the snow from covering the ground (unless it's a big snow). I was honestly surprised they were all out and about this morning because they have been "going back to bed" for the last couple of weeks.

We got a bit more than a dusting over here on the west side and it's so pretty 🤩

We had white stuff everywhere this morning, not much, but pretty! And I'm not driving until noon, so roads will all be melted, a good thing.
Most of the snow is now gone, except on the roof, but nice for a short time.
By the time I let the chickens out, it was off the ground, so they didn't notice.
Mary
