Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I, also, went to Chaps this week... bought crumble @ $14 something... That wasn't that bad but the pine chips were $8 something
hmm.png
and TSC has them for $4.50 (poorer quality though)... I needed pine so I bought them anyway. I figure they are a local shop, might as well spend my money there!
They had some nice straw outside at $4.95 per bale. Kind of pricey, but considering the drought and current pricing, it's not that bad. I think I need to unload the flatbed and go get some for the winter

All of the ones shown are Araucana. I'm thinking that the black and yellow will be solid black?? Not pictured are 2 Lavender Orpingtons and 7 Coronation Sussex.

And it's a plastic bottle. The original top to the waterer broke, and this just seemed to sit inside perfectly. Just stuck a hole in the bottom edge.

Been so busy this week!!

Just wanted to thank Momma K and her beautiful daughters for the beautiful Pekin female! Got her this afternoon and she is getting alone very well with our drake Peep.

Peep and Aflac... BFF's already!

According to postal codes I looked up, the PO missent it to the wrong destination. There is nothing on the box to indicate exactly where it went, and the PO where I picked them up couldn't tell me either. It is a puzzle, but I guess it doesn't really matter now that I have them and they all look like they will make it. If you think about it, these little ones really have been through a lot since they hatched in an incubator 2 days ago. Kind of amazing.

Hi!!! So I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it to chickenstock up north...but if anyone is interested I have some silkies and showgirls available :) Deal is...you want a hen you take a rooster! I consider these pet quality...and the hens are a little plucked because of the roosters. Asking $15 per pair
~White hen (I'll even throw in her speckled sussex chick she hatched out yesterday!)
~black hen
and you can pick between
~white silkie rooster (actually he is show quality and very nice)
~white showgirl (complete naked neck) rooster
~blue showgirl rooster ( with bowtie)
~double silver gene white Showgirl (with bowtie) I was told to call him a "pearl" (very nice roo, he is show quality)

or make me an offer for all!
I live in Holt...just south of Lansing :)
