What's so bad about PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals

wink.png

My EE finally laid again, I bet it has been 4 weeks, I am so happy about that. It feels like the EEs are finally accepted into the flock now, when I open the door for them to free range, all 6 come marching out, where before the EEs would stay inside to eat and drink, because the other hens were such bullies. They are all finally getting along!!!

I might actually get a 50% lay today :)

I know we are not really supposed to talk about PETA here, because it turns into a flamefest. But the basis of PETA's beliefs is that animals, even ones used humanely for fiber, are 'slaves'. PETA, if they had their way, would want no domesticated animals in the world, even if none were eaten or abused. So they would feel that shearing an animal as a very bad, though they think just keeping the animal is bad.

This is Shrek. A merino sheep who avoided being shorn for SIX YEARS. He managed to hide during shearing time. I bet he was relieved when all that fleece was finally removed after he was caught!
Geez, well maybe he would just lie down, tuck his head in like a turtle and pretend to be a boulder? Amazed he could still go to the bathroom...

I PM'd Babigyrl since she had not been on in a while, and she said to let you all know that she has been 1. Pregnant, 2. With Twins, and 3. Not feeling so great due to morning sickness, growing pains and working all day leaving her tired. Yay for her though!

I have been wondering about her. That is great news!!! Twins! Cool!

Farmer Boy - first I saw "I VOTED," then the picture of the cow. I figured you lived in Chicago where Bella's vote would be counted. Now I see you are from Michigan. Oh well. I used to live in Chicago for the first 22 years of my life, so I speak with authority on this subject.

I feel like a true American. I hit a deer on the way to vote, called to make a report, made it in time for voting, and made it back to the scene of the accident before the police even showed up...

Sadly, I only have liability insurance, so no fixing my car...
