venison meatlof sounds yummy.... I am tired of turkey by now.

But at least I did not have to cook. Thanks for the feel better wishes, took a stronger pain pill so soon I will be crashing but hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Just hate taking those meds.
Wylie, that sounds like fun. I loved Little House books and movies when I was growing up, they were always my favorite.

Jason- I have been divorced from my sons mother for over 35 years and she still thrives on creating problems. So welcome to the club. The only thing I've learned that gives me solace is that it don't matter. Because of the boys and their families I have to deal with her a few times a year. I just look at her, smile, and say this little prayer to myself "Thank you Jesus". It makes me glad to know that I'm no longer married to her and with that knowlege I can put up with almost anything because when the day is over I don't have to go home with her. (giving thanks to God again)

Oopsy- The better I get to know you from reading your posts your generousity comes shining through. Evidently you are a firm believer in the principle that the only thing we can take with us when we leave this world is what we have given away.

Morning all! Sorry for the long absence. I usually spend the holiday weekend at my sisters. We cook, eat, and shop!!

Got the large majority of my shopping done, thank goodness, now I am just catching up on everything since I have been gone.

Oopsy, praying your house works out, that is awesome!! You are awesome!!

Do what you can, when you can, where you can and you will never regret it. You will only regret what you never did.

Excited as it is beginning to feel more like Christmas, such an awesome time of year!!

Working to finish up those last minute cold weather stuff before that all hits us, which I think is going to be SOON!!

Hi Everyone

wow its been a busy week or so, i have not been able to do any thing i need to do, been working, then thanksgiving.

I havent even made it down to my Grandmas in Howell yet.

Thanksgiving day we went to chucks sister in Washington twp, are friend next store was to luck everyone up, i came come friday about 1:00 i had to work that night, and i could find 6 of my ducks, so i went and asked greg if seen them and lucked them up, and said yes, and he let all of them out in the morning, well with in 4 hours 6 are missing and we still can not find them, 2 of them are my new black east indie girls, and my new grey call girl, and 1 of my bei boys, and 2 of my rouen x magpies that i hatched out 7 weeks ago, its like they just vanished in to thin air, no feathers any where nothing, went back in the woods, around the ponds, so i went to work came back home still no ducks, went to work on sat, came home no ducks and still no ducks, we have looked every where,
just weird that 6 ducks can just disapire in 4 hours. my daughters are just besides them selfs.

Good Morning!

I was able to run 2 miles this morning

My muscles are starting to get back to normal from my run on friday.

I got my email about the Little House on the Prairie musical and the show is TONIGHT! We are so excited! I have to mapquest the Fox Theatre.... I don't want to get lost in Detroit!

Emily gets her braces off today and a retainer. 3 of the kids get to go to the dentist this afternoon too. Busy day!

Morning, everyone! My sweet MIL just called from El Paso to ask how much snow we had on the ground...I was able to tell her "None! The sun is shining and the grass is green...why? Do you need to come up here to Michigan to warm up??!" She knew I was messing with her. She woke up to 5-6" on the ground and was a little shocked!

Wylie: enjoy the musical, prizes are so cool.
Laura: aww, good luck on the missing ducks.
HBH: Hope the pain eases as the day goes on.
Jason: Hang in there, buddy. It's hard to be the bigger person but necessary, and worth it.

Well the kid is ready to do history and claims she needs to do some research on this computer. I should probably let her.

Aaaaaargh. Laid up in bed for a couple of days with a kidney infection and shingles. I want a mommy.

Went in last night to urgent care, which I've never done in my life. I'm one of those people who just doesn't get sick. Started feeling lousy a couple of days ago, and had a stabbing pain on the right side of my back. Just shrugged it off, and went on as normal. Yesterday woke up with very itchy/painful rash. Went in last night and the doc put me on 5 different meds. Yuck. I hate taking meds, and I hate staying in bed. Hubby had to go out early and feed/water all the critters this morning before he went to work. He even came home for lunch and fed me, then gathered eggs. What a guy. Maybe I don't need a mommy. LOL.

YakLady, I hope you feel better real soon. Sounds like you have a wonderful hubby to help out.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I am feeling somewhat better today, I had to take the super duper pain meds last night so I am not hurting as much. At least it's tolerable. The meds do make me feel exhausted though. So I am looking forward to bed time.
