I'm sure they are referring to Livingston Feed and Seed located on Marion St in Howell. Take Michigan Ave (D19) south. After you cross over RR turn left at first traffic light. You will see elevator at end of street.

We did it. We finished up the feed shed seperation for a in between coop. Put 9 chicks outside in it tonight. They have a light for heat, a roost, feed and water. There is even a small run, but they won't get to go out for a week or so yet.

Please anyone, if you would like a( gonna be pretty) black mottled cochin bantam roo let me know. 3 are too many for me to keep. You can have them for free. They are 4-5 weeks? I got them from Michelle.

I think I ended up at LFS one time- by total accident. I cannot even recall why I was in that part of town.
Going to a friends house, I think- or visiting my first husband in jail, lol, it was a very long time ago. So, I went wandering and ended up on a dead-end street at a feed place- big grain elevator, etc. Maybe, maybe not. I remember a big chick chart on the wall- and they were out of chicks,... its a faded memory, lol.

Good Morning everyone- I hope you all have a wonderful day. My husband may be released from the hospital today, with a pic line where I will administer his IV antibiotics and do his wound care here. I am going in to work early to try and catch up on everything I am behind on. Tons to do.
I gave my two little ducklings a swim this morning in the bath tub. They are growing so fast. I have no idea what kind they are, except for cute. I have tried naming them a half a dozen different names, but I think they are just going to be Beeper Jeepers...lol. That is the baby talk that ends up coming out of my mouth whenever I am interacting with them.

Coffee is on encase anyone would like a cup. I've started the day on the correct side of the grass so I know it's going to be another good day. Think I'll go work my crossword puzzle and make sure that my brain is functioning properly.

We got the same storm. Thunder shook the house and made the smoke dectors go off woke the kids and now I have a dog glued to my side. Poor dog was shaking and drooling.

My chicks should be shipping from Ideal today. Woo hoo!!

Hope you all have a great day.

Still dark but the morning can't be to far off as the birds are starting to sing. It's not raining here but the clouds seem dark and heavy. I think if you were to point your finger upward you'd probably start the rain by poking a hole in one. Good day to work in the office. A dark gloomy day seems like the perfect weather to try and finish my taxes. I had started them earlier but became discouraged and quit. I received a HUGE increase of $144 per year on my social security the portion that must be added to my income went up by almost $500. I really can't use any more pay raises like that. With just the cost of living increases I think I will probably outlive my pension so definitely don't need the government compounding my incomes buying power.

Briana,
My silly dogs started barking and wanted to go outside!
My Golden is used for hunting so i think he thought the thunder meant he was supposed to go out and retrieve..lol.
Silly dogs.
My old Great Dane used to be so afraid during the storms- it sure is hard on them when they fear storms. Hard on you, too!

The storm is moving quickly, it is already gone now. Thankfully, my power is on. It is not uncommon for it to go out with the slightest hint of a storm!

The storm woke me up around 4am... didn't really amount to much, nice lightening show and a little rain. On the way in to work around 6:30am, there was a big flash in the sky and the radio station I listen to, broadcasted out of windsor canada, died at the same time... I saw the flash west of Ann Arbor! When they came back on they said they lost power for a moment, I think it was cool how deceptively far off that lightening was. It was orange too!

I love a good storm as long as there's no strong winds.

Opa, I hear what you're saying about the increase, my parents didn't get one. But in a way it must be nice to get a cost of living raise! I haven't gotten one of those in over 10 years. Seems like the only way to get a raise these days is to get another job..... and of course in MI, we know how hard that is to do.

I've been lucky and got a new job and my last "raise" just 2 yrs ago, just as things started to decline. Everything has gone up in cost, except my wages! What really cracked my egg, was in my first year on the job, I saved the company more than they paid me all year......I got an excellent review.... and the CEO decided to freeze everyone's wages.........that was of course after he got his 2.5 million dollar bonus, he got the highest bonus paid to a CEO in CA last year.

Have you guys heard whether or not gas prices are supposed to hit 4$ a gal this summer?..... lets hope that doesn't happen! We spend almost $500 a month on gas as it is now and thats with my DH and I carpooling everyday! Luckily motorcycle season is here!

I keep hearing that gas is supposed to go up to $4 a gallon. I hope it doesn't, but don't trust the government to keep these big oil guys in check. I'm afraid it's going to destroy any progress the economy has gained back. Ugh!

The kids are on spring break this week, so we are going to curl up together and watch a movie and play games. There is so much I need to get done outside that the rain is frustrating, but so needed. I've got so many babies that are ready to move out of the brooder though. I just need to get those hoop houses donw.

Vicki is right, baby goslings are the best. Mine are loving all this wet weather and follow me around everywhere. They are way too cute for their own good. I have brown chinese geese in the incubator that should be hatching this week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as they are tough to hatch.

Have a wonderful day!

Ellen

PS. I love dorkings, if anyone knows of breeding stock rosecomb dorkings I am looking for chicks or hatching eggs!

All I can say is please keep gas prices down.....

The "new" car my husband got after hitting that deer was a 92 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyc stick. Good on gas so far. Our other truck is a Chevy Surburban with the biggest motor, and huge gas tank. Luckily I stay home, so does it. But we have to have something we can haul our water tank, trailers, and things like this with. Makes me mad when the media and politicians say how if we all get small cars or hybrids it would help, but for some people that just isn't an option. Plus I would perfer NOT to have a car payment.
